The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will hold auditions for "Seussical" on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Arvada Center.This Children's Theater production will be directed and choreographed by Nick Sugar.
Auditions will be held on June 2 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling (720) 898-7200.
Auditioners must be 18 years of age or older for all roles. Ethnic minorities and cultural varieties are encouraged for all roles. All roles are non-equity and paid. Actors should prepare a one minute comic monologue and prepare 24 bars of an uptempo or ballad appropriate to the production. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key, no CD or acappella, accompanist will be provided. A resume and headshot are required.
Rehearsals for "Seussical" will begin Wednesday, September 10, 2008,with the show opening on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, running through December 28, 2008. The performances are on various weekdays at 10:00a.m. and Noon and Saturdays, October 25 and November 8, at 11:00 a.m.and 1:00 p.m. Starting November 28, performances will be on Thursdays and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. and Noon, Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00p.m. and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
