Draw upon your personal experiences to create funny, stage-ready material in this two-part stand-up workshop. The first class will help new comedians write fresh material based on personal experiences and/or workshop material that's already been written. Returning for Part 2 a week later, you'll workshop material developed during the week and finish with a show to test the goods! As a bonus, we'll bring in two guest comedians to offer additional perspective.

- For over 15 years, Elaine Nash’s Nashville-based company, Pro Media Nashville, provided business management, public relations, promotion, and journalistic services for the likes of Neil Young, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sawyer Brown, Reba McEntire, George Strait, Loretta Lynn, and others. She created major media events that featured Robert Duval, Jane Fonda, David Hasselhoff, George Burns, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Rait and others. She was business manager of Skip Stephenson, star of NBC’s #1 show, 'Real People', and she was event manager for comedians Gary Muledeer, Sinbad, Jim Varney, and the famous Zanie's Comedy Club. Elaine was named Public Relations Person of the Year by the Nat’l Entertainment Journalists Ass’n, and she is a published author of many interviews, articles, stories, and jokes. Elaine left ‘the biz’ to move west and raise her family, and now resides in Denver, CO. She’s currently working on a relationship-themed pop-culture book, and she builds web sites for emerging actors. She is the mom of two cool teenagers- one of whom is an actor.
